For some students the costs of starting the school year are not something their family can afford. It's pretty awesome to share that two area businesses are extending a helping hand. They are doubly generous for not only are they organizing school supply drives, but they are also giving away great things to everyone who donates.
Organizers for the Maricopa County Home Show at State Farm Stadium are giving away 2 adult tickets for each backpack donation they receive! The home show is this weekend, July 11-13th at State Farm Stadium and they’ve got all kinds of stuff going on, in addition to this school supply drive. Kids 4-12 get a free toy, there are workshops, a magic show, free consultations for tree trimming, gardening, and remodeling, and more. Info is here and, to get the free tickets, the backpack should be new and with the store/brand tags still on it.
The second business is Texas Roadhouse in Surprise. They were featured in last weeks newsletter article as well but in case you missed it, here’s the scoop again!
Texas Roadhouse - Surprise Location is also looking to help make sure ALL students begin the school year with everything they need. They will be collecting donations throughout July and making it worth your while by giving you a little “thank you for caring.” For every 5 school supply items you donate to the Surprise Texas Roadhouse, they will give you a coupon for a free appetizer. Their generosity is pretty boundless because this system works in multiples! Meaning, if you bring in 15 school supply items, you will receive 3 free appetizer coupons. They do not specify what they will accept but use your own child’s school list and you will probably be spot on with what other kids need.
And while we are speaking about the Texas Roadhouse in Surprise and how awesome they are, did you know they have a Kids Night each month? Yup! It’s the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 4-8 pm. They have special kid activities plus more coupons to come back with. Be sure to check it out for a fun family night out!
The address for Surprise’s Texas Roadhouse is 14175 W. Grand Ave., Surprise, AZ 85374 and their website is here.
